Travelling

I haven’t said anything here before, only on my blog in Spanish [http://blog.roncero.org if you are curious], but two weeks ago I embarked on a trip around the world. Well, not exactly around the world, but starting in Hong Kong, then moving further south through South East Asia to reach Australia, New Zealand and then the United States before going back to the UK.

My idea is to see a bit of this world, as I mainly know Europe and the USA. Armed with my photographic gear, two backpacks, not enough clothing I am set to travel around these countries for a few months to conquer them and my fears (which sometimes it’s considerable, hehe).

My idea is to experience new things, new food, take photos and improve on my photography skills. No finding-my-self bullshit or something, just enjoying it and seeing a bit of a different world to me anyway.

The first few weeks prior the start of my trip have been a bit anxious, giving me a bit of a headache trying to get some sleep. Why am I doing this and am I prepared for a trip this long were the first things that would pop into my mind when I would wake up in the middle of the night.

Now, if you’d like to follow me, I’ll try to keep this blog and my other Spanish one updated more or less often. You can also follow me on flickr which is where I want to put all my photos online: http://www.flickr.com/photos/golan

The itinerary in my mind looks like this:

  • Hong Kong
  • China (Guilin and surroundings)
  • Vietnam
  • Cambodia
  • Thailand
  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Australia
  • Fiji (maybe)
  • New Zealand
  • USA

Of course this is just an idea that I’ll try to follow and everything is subject to change.

Note: I have already started the trip, not having been able to post more regularly as I don’t have proper internet connection, so I keep a journal on my computer that I’ll post as blog post as soon as I get proper connectivity. Follow me here: http://tube.notreally.org/tmp/l.html for now
